Last nite we went to Pizza Hut in Findlay, OH (On Trenton Ave)

As we entered I noticed a sign taped to the door.

Exhibit A:

no cameras at the hut

Exhibit B: Closer view of text

no cameras at the hut 2

Please note the ! after management. It is an exciting announcement

Interesting no photos at Pizza Hut you say, What about reunions, birthday parties, friendly gatherings etc?

Thoroughly confused we decided to proceed to take pictures.

Exhibit C: Amber and I aka the rebels

no cameras at the hut Amber and I

We didn’t get stopped taking pictures but we were obscured from all the waitresses and mangers by the board you see behind us. Not really sure why picture taking is prohibited, I am tempted to try this again and get noticed simply to push the buttons of a manager and find out why.

I think Pizza Hut is worried about all the new startup pizza restaurants in town which don’t require a bathroom break 15 minutes after eating. They may send in secret shoppers to photograph the “Pizza Making Masterpiece” which is Pizza Hut.

Though cameras are prohibited Pizza Hut did not provide anyplace for Amber to deposit her cell phone w/camera for the duration of the meal. That is just poor customer service seriously you want me to leave it in the car. I will need to talk to them about installing lockers at the entryway or purchasing photoblocker like the city of Chicago was contemplating(Link satire covering of Millennium Park Cloud Sculpture)

If I can muster up the stomach strength to go back I will try to take more obvious pictures and find out the real reason for the ban on cameras.

Im a manager of a Pizza Hut in Wisconsin. At our store our employee’s can’t take pictures and they can’t have camera phones becouse of there is a lot of other pizza places that want to know how Pizza Hut does things and sales numbers posted in out offices. But for guests, they should be able to have fun and take pictures with there friends and familys. If theres something in the dinning room they don’t want you to take pictures then it shouldn’t be there for you to see. That message posted on there door isnt a Pizza Hut Inc. letter its a personal store letter by there managers and it shouln’t be posted on there door.
