The Shield and Black.White.
I am watching the Shield right now which is in its fifth season and is as fast paced and raw as earlier seasons.
If you spend one hour watching TV a week watch the Shield, this is back and forth, corner turning changes all around. The show follows Vic Mackey and his strike team taking on the crime in the streets with effective yet not always legal methods. Go check this out!

THe show is based on trading races although it is unclear if just partners are trading places or how Ice Cube who is an executive director will pull this off is it placing WHite people in “black” situations and neighborhoods and vice versa? The issues seem to have all been done and redone in reality shows thus far.
That said I don’t even know if this is a reality show or some scripted Drama from FX. Time will tell but I don’t plan on watching this show unless it generates serious buzz by people whose TV/Music/Movie taste I trust (a pool of ~6 people).

There have been nights when they showed 4 segments back to back and I sat there from 10pm till 3am watching The Shield. It’s the scariest imagery I’ve ever seen. TV drama doesnt get any more real than this and it never will. The Shield has defined television drama for years to come.
You should watch, it’ll be pretty good. It’s much more in the documentary form then the reality show crazyness, tho not by much some days. I have to wait until the first show airs before I can give everyone the DL…but just you wait, it was one hell of an experience to be part of!
I’ll have to check it out. The newer previews have shed a little light and made it seem much more interesting.
this is ground breaking because the parent swap is one thing the fat suit is for what a day or two but a month and put in situations in the others skin should prove to be some interesting tv.
