Gamespot Game Trailer Age Restriction

Earlier today I was checking out a video game trailer on Gamespot and like usual just entered bogus info into the age restriction form.  The birthday I entered to get past the age restricting barrier was 3/28/1903 and lo and behold I was too old for gaming!  It wasn’t until I raised the age to 3/28/1911 that the adult material was deemed appropriate for me.  I found this pretty amusing as I do any age verification that requires me to only enter the info in a form without verification.  I wonder if the form is for age verification or simply to collect statistics on site usage for advertisers and other fun statistical adventures.  Lets hope grandpa doesn’t want to check out the latest game trailer!
