Welcome to Wordpress 2.1

This is a welcome post to Wordpress 2.1 which contains a lot of new features and improved aesthetics. Some of the notable additions include spell checking, auto draft save as well as others. Right now when I spell check though I get false as the suggestion so I don’t know if that needs configured first or if it is also just messed up.

Unfortunately the upgrade messed up a call in my sidebar to get my blogroll and sort it by categories so if anyone knows the code needed to do this in Wordpress 2.1 please leave me a note in the comments.

My theme a version of Cutline 1.02 which I have modified for ads and some extra sidebar content appears to work well.

If you don’t know your way around php you may want to wait a week or so to upgrade and check with your plugin authors and theme authors for compatibility.

I have submitted a support request for the spell check issue. http://wordpress.org/support/topic/101742?replies=1#post-502808

I am able to embed Youtube videos by slapping around them.

The Sidebar is now up and running.

If you want to embed Youtube or Google clips in WP 2.1 check out Viper’s plugin

    Version 4.0 works with WP2.1

    Hi,

I’ve installed WP2.1, but the problem is that all my youtube videos in my old posts are lost. I don’t know where I went wrong or if this is a known issue.

    Do you have any suggestions?

Mine are still embedded. How were you placing them in your posts? I had previously stopped using the rich editor in order to get the Youtube videos to show. I am not sure why this happened.

Try posting over at the WP help site.

Sorry I can’t be more helpful.
