ToughBook Takes A Bullet for A Soldier
A story about a Panasonic Toughbook rolled into my Google Reader today via Boing Boing, however when I went to check otu the article on Boing Boing it was gone, I decided to follow the link to the original story on MobileMag.com but it had disappeared as well. It seems really odd that both would go down especially since Boing Boing isn’t known for removing material.
Near as I can tell from Boing Boing’s summary, a soldier in the 82nd Airborne was shot while on duty but thankfully his laptop which he carried everywhere took the bullet for him.
This shotfromt eh Iraq war reminds me of a picture I took in Vietnam, at the War Remnants Museum of a Camera that took a bullet for a journalist in the Vietnam war.
