6800 launch info

The Mogul Sprint’s on again, off again version of the HTC PPC 6800 has been given a release date yet again. According to Engadgetmobile the Mogul will be available to corporate customers and vie the Sprint website on June 18th and at retail stores July 16th. The 6800 is the upgrade to the 6700 which has seen use on both Sprint and Verizon Networks. The 6800 boasts Windows Mobile 6 and a 2 MP camera, as well as 256 MB ROM increased battery life and a smaller form factor.

It is expected that a similar version of the 6800 will appear on Verizon’s network before the end of the year. I am currently looking forward to the Samsung i760 which is rumored to be released between June 28th and June 30th to corporate channels, but the speculation of full GPS on the Sprint Mogul is enough for me to take pause and rethink my pda phone purchase.

These wireless carriers are so tight lipped so they can sell the remaining stock of the outdated stuff, but there are hordes clamoring to purchase these devices, just release them.
