Make the most of your small screen in Firefox

August 5th, 2008 · No Comments

The Download Squad has a great article up which covers several ways to make the most of your small screen. While the article is aimed at those using netbooks, often limited to 7″ screens I have found that it is full of good ideas for getting the most out of my 12″ tablet screen.

I’ve already made use of the Tiny Menu extension for Firefox to cut down the space that the menu bar takes up and I also pull the menu down to the navigation toolbar to get rid of an entire line. From the article I decided to drop down to small icons, which I had avoided due to the really small size on a 12″ screen, but the difference is worth it.

I can’t bring myself to get rid of the statusbar, which holds one of my favorite add ons the download status bar and since I can’t move it up to the navigation panel I’ll have to keep the statusbar for now.
