Weekend Update Espresso Machine

The Weekend has flown by again and I haven’t had much chance to post since we went to Tiffin Early Saturday morning in search of a simple 2 cup coffee maker and returned home with a beautiful Delonghi Bar32 Espresso machine with frother. MMMMM Lattes in the Living room. Nothing to add to holidays full of gaming like caffiene in the 175 degree form.

I will be posting a better review in a day or so after I have been able to put it to some morning quick prep tests.

How to Fix a Krups Aroma Control Coffeemaker

If you are any kind of coffee Connoisseur then you will undoubtedly clean your coffee machine at some point in its life. This and using filtered water is necessary to keep your coffee in prime condition.

While cleaning my Krups Aroma Control Type 197.

Hello,

I have a Krups Aroma Control Coffee Maker purchased ~10 Months ago. Type 197
Part of it broke yesterday. It is a small grey clip which is part of a larger gray casing which holds a coiled wire.

The writing on the grey plastic says

74121

PPGF30 This piece has a white stopper at the bottom and attaches to a black piece which clips into the Coffee grounds basket.

Is it possible to simply have the replacement part sent to me, or to send back the defective part for a replacement rather than shipping the Whole unit?

I have not received a response as of ~2 weeks later so I decided to take matters into my own hands.

First off the broken part

The Solution

After attempting some superglue to hold the broken part in place I decided to bend a paperclip and slip I through the hole to keep the part in place.

The problem this creates is that the top of the coffeemaker no longer sits as tight as it had. I was willing to live with this.

I found though that the loosened seal made for better coffee, previously my coffee did not taste great on a consistent basis given the same variables, now however the coffee is delicious with each brew.

Meetro – location aware Instant Messaging

I am currently trying out a new chat program which is called Meetro.

The program uses the location you provide, be it your home, coffee shop, airport or hotel to show you other people who are in the same area. Currently in NW Ohio I get no one within range to chat with. But I just downloaded the program today.

Beware if you are a friend of mine that you will soon be getting a pitch to install this.

Also it handles AIM connections to so it allows for an easy transition.

I am heading to a concert in columbus tonite with Amber and Jake. The concert is a wedding present from jake which rocks literally. I will do a post concert update on the way home. I do know I will need quite a bit of caffiene to get through thursday at work though!

Well my sunglasses arrived Friday before the wedding thanks to a free upgrade to Overnight DHL express!

The sunglasses are a little bit heavier than my current frames but overall are very comfortable. The lenses are even thinner, almost half as thin as my current frames which is amazing to me. ie the sunglasses look like most people’s lenses as opposed to the semi coke bottle lens on my right side.

I am extremely happy with the quality and professionalism of the folks at 39dollarglasses.com and I am looking into ordering a set of regular glasses either in my current frames or in completely new frames.

I would definitely recommend getting some glasses from here!

I finally got my honeymoon pics on the computer so after some downsizing I will post up a couple. We also got our wedding index prints back so I will be posting some pics from that as I get them.

So far adjusting to work again has been somewhat difficult, not really the work but the getting up early. This morning was a double latte morning!
