An Office Space Day

Sometimes you get to work and the day proceeds much like a scene from Office Space. Unfortunately my week ended on a Office Space note and began on one as well. To summarize my week thus far I invite Michael Bolton and Samir Nagheenanajar to elaborate.

Samir: No, not again. I… why does it say paper jam when there is no paper jam? I swear to God, one of these days, I just kick this piece of shit out the window.

Michael Bolton: You and me both, man. That thing is lucky I’m not armed.

Sigh, in other news I went to the Toledo Auto Show on Saturday and go tto check out some amazing new cars and play around with the new Sync feature in select Fords as well as speak to someone at corporate Chevy about the Equinox we bought form Yark Automotive in Toledo. The Equinox has experienced issues starting shortly after we bought it and had a safety issue which the rep lied to us about. In other words Yark Auto in Whitehouse and Toledo is not the place to buy a car. More on the autoshow, our Yark Automotive experience and how not to email potential customers coming hopefully later this week….Now back to our regularly scheduled Office Space viewing.

Not My Secret but My Secret Pleasure

I didn’t send in this secret to Postsecret, but if it doesn’t nail a guilty pleasure of mine I don’t know what does.  Beware friends, if you leave the protective film on your gadgets I will free them.  That film is not a screen protector and Dell didn’t include a logo protector either.

3D Stikfa Wall Hanging

While cleaning off my desk at work Friday morning I came across a broken picture frame which I had meant to glue back together some time ago.  I was just about to through it out when I noticed a pack of 3M wall hanging adhesive strips, commonly used for posters.   I started to look around the office for something I could place in the frame.  I have loads of pictures in need of a frame but pictures in frames are so flat …so passe.  I settled on an Alpha Male Stikfa figure I got last year.

With a few minutes of labor I was able to add some depth to my office walls.  I think the hanging fits in well between my Kandinsky and a shot I took in NYC.

New Theme is…GO!

I just launched the new 3 column theme for Imjosh.com so if you are reading this in a feedreader come on by and check out the new layout. The new theme is a modified version of the 3 column Cutline theme and needs a few more tweaks to get all the way up and running but I couldn’t wait anymore.

You’ll see the implementation of tags over the next few days as well as some new header images getting worked into the rotation.

Changes coming this week

After some behind the scenes tweaking and an upgrade to WordPress 2.3 I will be rolling out a new theme this week.  The theme uses 3 columns and is similar to the theme you see right now.  The new theme will better utilize the page space and will begin to use tags in posts.  The improvements are almost done and I look forward to sharing the new layout with you this week.

Smells of Burnt Peanuts!

All day I have had the smell of burnt peanuts in my nose.  No one else around me smells it and it has followed me through 2 showers 2 cars and 3 cities today.  I cannot figure out why this is happening.  Stuff even tastes like burnt peanuts.  Sidenote, that makes for a odd garden salad with ranch.

I am just finally getting over a cold for which I took Tylenol Multi Symptom for a few days and I don’t have a burnt peanut stuck in my nose which leaves me clueless.

Does anyone out there have an idea as to why I am sensing this smell?

It’s Like Cinnamon Gum With A Radar Detector

First off I am a Buzz Agent, this means occasionally companies will share samples of new products with me in order to generate buzz or word of mouth advertising about their product. The latest item I received was from Wrigley and it included samples of their new gum, “5 Gum“, which rocks.

I haven’t had a chance to share and try all of the 3 flavors yet but I have tried Rain and Flare and they rock! Tonite we had dinner with my parents and my mom already had the flare flavor as she is a big fan of cinnamon flavored gum. I took a piece to give it a try expecting to be overcome with the cinnamon flavor like other cinnamon gums I have tried. I ussually spit those out in a few minutes as they are just to spicy. The Flare flavor of 5gum reminded me of a car with a radar detector flying down the highway and just in time, “beep squawk beep”, the gum drops down to the speed limit. Don’t take this wrong the gum has a great kick and it lasts a long time, but it stops right where it should. I don’t normally get excited about gum but so far the 5 gum line has got me pumped.
