I found this cool summer drink dispenser via Serious Eats, a fun food blog that never ceases to amaze me. This use of a watermelon as a keg for Watermelon/Lime Juice mixed with some rum is a wonderful idea. I don’t have a good reason to make one yet I really want to put one together just because. Thankfully you should be able to reuse all of the hardware for your next fruit keg. Hmm, maybe this would be a good way to sneak a little something extra into your next company picnic!

Montery Chicken With Potatoes

Chicken Monterey I wanted to share a recipe which I enjoy both making and eating. Monterey Chicken combines so many things I love it is hard to find another meal I enjoy more, at least when it is too cold to grill out!

I found the recipe which combines red skin potatoes, butter, lime, cheese, cilantro and salsa!  I have made this dish several times but most recently I used our sponsor Spirit of Texas Salsa’s medium salsa to flavor the cilantro and cheese portion of Chicken Monterey.  As I have previously mentioned the bold flavor and consistency of the Spirit of Texas Salsa is what made it really shine in this recipe.  The salsa mixed in great and really added to the overall combination of flavors.

Check out the full recipe at Allrecipes.com for the full Chicken Monterey recipe and be sure to pick up a jar of Spirit of Texas Salsa for free with $5 shipping.
