Look Inside Apocalypse How by Rob Kutner

I shared a promo for Rob Kutner’s Apocalypse How earlier this week and wished for the ability to see inside it in order to understand what it was about. Imagine my surprise when Rob took time out of writing for the daily show and promoting his new book to email me and point me to the excerpts section of the Apocalypse How website.

After looking through several pages of the book, I can’t wait to head down to my local bookstore to pick this one up, I just hope they have it in stock or I’ll have to pick it up on Amazon.

I only wish you could look inside the book on Amazon so I could get a better idea of what’s inside….

Hilarious CD sale on Cragslist

The title for this ad reads, “MUST SELL Lot of rare cds/ CHEAP (Cridersville, Lima area)” I clicked through thinking maybe something nifty would be included. Much to my surprise and the demise of my nose which became filled with diet Pepsi I found the following at the bottom of the list.

44. Limp Bizkit- Three Dollar Bill Yall
45. Limp Bizkit- Significant Other
46. Limp Bizkit- Chocolate Starfish And The Hot Dog Flavored Water
47. Limp Bizkit- Results May Vary

Can you really call any of these rare let alone describe the endeavor as “getting most of these cds wasn’t easy and it definitely wasn’t cheap”?

Something to enjoy as you head to bed.

Staples Needs a Calculator for Savings

I snapped this humorous pricing issue at Staples. Not often that the store undersells the savings on something!  The savings is either really 31.45 or the purchased seperately price is incorrect.

I am posting this guiltily since I lamented the overposting of camera phone pricing errors on consumerist of late, but I found this one humorous.  A feeling I am sure all the other posters had regarding theirs.

Of All The Problems To Have

Scanning the local police reports is something which always brings me joy. The following report was in The Findlay Courier today and is too funny to withhold from you any longer.

Police responded to a Frazer Street residence Wednesday morning on a domestic complaint after a man became upset that his girlfriend kept waking him up for sex. No arrests were made.

Some people have nothing but problems.  Do you have an even better Police blotter story?  If so leave it in the comments, for daily police blotter hilarity, check out Crime Scene KC.

Hilarious Personalized Handwriting Analysis Video

I was checking out Tul.com (pronounced Tool) today after using one of their pens at a meeting the other day and found the Graphological testing lab to be entertaining and funny. The man you see above must have studied under John Hodgeman because he nails Hodgeman’s deadpan humor all while delivering a sometimes scathing analysis of your handwriting based on a multiple choice choice test and a writing sample. You should definitely choose an unfinished ‘y’ in a second test if it isn’t your normal style.

I gotta get to an OfficeMax soon to get a Tul pen, unless Tul decides to send me one free…

Console Bundle Spoofs: the Xbox 360

Anyone looking to buy an Xbox 360 or who bought a PSP at launch has run into the dreaded concept of… Console Bundles.

At some point last year major retailers thought it would be a sweet idea to charge extra for a “system bundle.” They threw in accessories people probably didn’t even want at launch, as well as a group of games that certainly didn’t make any sense… like the Super platinum limited edition Pokemon - Halo 2.5 - Sims Package.

Whats up with that?!?!?

I’ll choose the launch titles I want thank you very much!

Basically if you want to preorder/order anytime after the price was announced for the Xbox 360 you have to get a bundle, thus taking the already expensive price of $400 to $6-700 $1999.

Gamestop is now mysteriously soldout of the “all Xboxes other than the Omega bundle for $1999″ or the “Omega with Plasma
TV bundle for $4499.”

“Omega” is right. People it’s the end, and it is so sweet you can’t even handle it!

I figured if Gamestop can make exorbitant and ridiculous bundles why shouldn’t I join in the fun. Check out below for some bundles inspired by Gamestop, EBgames and the greedy game stores who think a bundle is what the customer wants. The Bundles include all items in the Xbox package for $399. Any games pictured are simply to enhance the coolness of the bundle and are not included:

Xbox 360 Health Insurance Bundle
